PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk has disbursed a financing facility amounting to IDR 113 billion to PT Investasi Hijau Satu (HIJAU) for the development of its solar power plant (PLTS) portfolio in the industrial sector as part of a project financing-based sustainable funding project.
This financing is aimed at supporting the expansion of solar assets developed by HIJAU, while simultaneously broadening the utilization of renewable energy among industrial players in need of clean energy solutions.
With the support of this first-phase financing, HIJAU targets to accelerate the development of its solar asset portfolio over the next four years. The company is also preparing to expand its project pipeline across various industrial sectors, as well as developing a technology-based cooling service business line to improve energy efficiency.
PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk stated, “This corporate action reinforces OCBC’s commitment to continuously support project financing that contributes positively to the environment and society. With a robust risk assessment structure and support for sustainable financing practices, the bank hopes that collaborations like this can accelerate the realization of a green economy in Indonesia and encourage industries to move toward a sustainable and low-carbon future.”
OCBC has a Responsible Financing Framework that governs sustainable financial principles to ensure business growth is aligned with economic, social, and environmental aspects. The bank continuously explores financing for business sectors that support low-carbon development, including for the middle-business sector that is starting to implement eco-friendly practices through long-term asset-based project financing schemes.
As of September 30, 2025, OCBC has disbursed sustainable financing amounting to IDR 34.69 trillion, with 44 percent of it categorized as green financing.
OCBC also stated that the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is carried out across all operational aspects as part of the efforts toward Net Zero Emissions.
