PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), acting as Pertamina’s Gas Subholding, officially handed over Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance in the form of creative educational tourism facilities to the Government of Pagardewa Village, Muara Enim. These facilities, which include a playground and the Danau Kemiri tourism landmark, are integral parts of PGN’s Social Innovation Program known as Pendekar Dewa (Strengthening Creative, Safe, and Equal Village Economy).
Three Strategic Pillars of Pendekar Dewa
The program is designed to build a sustainable system through three main pillars:
- 1. The “Safe” Pillar (Economic Certainty):
- Focuses on stabilizing rubber farmers’ income through the “Latex Station” program, which streamlines the supply chain.
- By 2025, rubber farmers’ annual income reached Rp57.6 million, a 33.3% increase from the previous year.
- Empowered 28 family members of farmers, particularly women, to earn independent income through MSMEs (UMKM).
- 2. The “Equal” Pillar (Infrastructure Access):
- Addresses clean water scarcity by constructing five solar-powered (PLTS) sanitation facilities (MCK).
- Established the “Pendekar Talang” group to manage water access for 28 households.
- 3. The “Creative Economy” Pillar (Tourism):
- Developed the Danau Kemiri area into a hub for educational tourism and local creative economy.
- The site is equipped with a hall, MSME booths, a playground, a traffic park, and an amphitheater.
Danau Kemiri: A Hub for Tourism and Environmental Resilience
Managed by the Local Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis Rumpun Kemiri), the area has seen remarkable growth:
- Economic Growth: In 2025, the site recorded 6,554 visitors and generated Rp92.48 million in revenue, a 191% increase from the prior period.
- Environmental Protection: Beyond aesthetics, the lake serves as a vital water source for forest and land fire (karhutla) mitigation with a capacity of 22,500 cubic meters.
