Geely continues to demonstrate its ambition in marketing electric vehicles. They are not satisfied with just the three products already launched. The Chinese manufacturer admitted to preparing six new models to be marketed to consumers in the country.
“Indonesia is Geely’s core market in Southeast Asia and a vital pillar in our global New Energy Vehicle (NEV) strategy,” said Constantinus Herlijoso, Sales & Channel Development Director of Geely Auto Indonesia, on Tuesday (Jan 21).
Furthermore, it was stated that Geely is continuously striving to introduce a variety of new cars in an effort to meet all consumer needs.

This is intended to encourage the public in the country to start using electric and hybrid cars. “We have seen high interest from Indonesian consumers toward our vehicles,” he continued.
In his presentation, Herlijoso showcased six new models, consisting of two 5-seater models and the remaining four being 7-seaters. It is highly likely that Geely’s newest products will remain focused on targeting the hybrid and Electric Vehicle (EV) segments.
“By doing so, the options for eco-friendly four-wheeled vehicles for Indonesian consumers will continue to increase. This is expected to drive the growth of the electric and hybrid car segments, providing a tangible impact on the domestic automotive industry.”
Ready to Build a Dealer Network “On the other hand, Geely does not only plan to market new cars; they also intend to provide the best possible service, especially regarding after-sales support. The Chinese brand aims to have 80 official dealerships by the end of 2026.”
“Currently, there are 35 Geely dealerships operating and serving customers, spread across various strategic regions. These range from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) to several cities across Java. Furthermore, the network is expanding to Sumatra, Riau, Bali, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi to reach even more consumers.”

“Geely is also able to ensure product availability and services across all regions in the country. Lastly, Geely has expressed its intention to build an independent factory, though it is not yet known when this plan will commence.”
“For now, they are still utilizing the facilities owned by Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) located in Purwakarta, West Java.”
